The Material Safety Data Sheet is the heart of
the Safety Officer II system. The Interpreted MSDSs produced contains modifications your
safety officer has made to convert the manufacturers Material Safety Data Sheet to one
that makes sense in your setting. The Interpreted MSDS is the document that you will use
in your day to day activities to help promote chemical safety and comply with
Right To Know legislation.
When the MSDS option is selected from the
Report menu, the program will gather
all the relevant information on the target chemical which is distributed throughout SOII's database. Once the information has been collected, it is completely reorganized
into a uniform format that is extremely easy to read and understand. MSDSs may also be
stored for easy future retrieval, or manipulation.
