 Carcinogen:
Any material that causes the development of cancerous growth in living
tissue. There are two general groups: Those substances which are KNOWN by
experience to cause cancer in humans or animals and those substances which
we assume capable of causing cancer in humans because of EXPERIMENTAL
results from testing animals in the laboratory.
